Quietly, 175 Nicaraguan families would like to say "thank you" for one of life's humble necessities.

Nicaraguan family

For years, these hard-working families were forced to use crude latrines. The indignity and the smell weren't even the worst of it: Without decent sanitation and with flies constantly invading their water supply and food, their children and their farm animals were constantly sick.

That's when Pura Vida said "Enough" and partnered with El Porvenir, a clean water and sanitation organization in Nicaragua, who have successfully brought sustainable potable water and sanitation to over 600 projects helping over 70,000 Nicaraguans.

For $45,000, the recently completed PuraVida/El Porvenir project created a gravity fed water system, 5 wells and 101 latrines for six rural communities, home to 175 thankful families.

"There has been a huge impact in the development of us living better," says Mr. Blanco, father of 6. "The children aren't getting as sick as before. We are so very grateful for the gifts that have been given to us. We now have a clean place to go to the bathroom."

Health. Hope. And a better life. It's how Pura Vida is working to Create Good¨ for coffee-growing communities from Central America to Africa. Every day.

Thanks for your continued support,
